Thermal ablation for cervical precancerous lesions<\/h3>\n

Cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN), also called cervical dysplasia, is an abnormal growth of cells on the surface of the cervix.
\nIt is diagnosed histologically as CIN1, CIN2, or CIN3. CIN2+ is caused by chronic infection of the cervix with HPV, particularly high-risk HPV types 16 or 18. Like other intraepithelial neoplasms, CIN is not cancer and is usually curable. However, in a small percentage of cases, cervical cancer develops if left untreated, usually squamous cell carcinoma of the cervix (SCC).<\/p>\n
